Jinky Frejoles, a traditional artist, was born in Dumaguete City in 1992. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Roxas City, Capiz, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2013. After gaining work experience in Roxas City, she relocated to Cebu City in 2016 and worked as full-time corporate accountant while nurturing her passion for art part-time. In 2020, she discovered her passion for graphite and charcoal, developing a style in realism. Her works, characterized by surreal subjects and juxtaposed human and animal forms, were showcased at the Tubo Cebu Art Fair in 2023.
Recently, Jinky has expanded her practice to pen and ink, focusing on mark-making techniques that emphasize textures. Her flagship series of bird studies, first exhibited at SM Seaside in 2024, garnered significant attention and sold out completely. Building on this success, she introduced a collection of pen and ink illustrations inspired by Disney and Pixar characters, showcased at Il Corso in 2025, which also achieved a sold-out status. Today, Jinky continues to push creative boundaries, blending technical precision with imaginative concepts.
